These are great questions. To make the learning stick more, I’d ask these same questions in the present tense. For example, “What concerns is your team raising right now, and how are you thinking about them?” It’s harder to stay hands off when you do this, but being a sounding board helps them develop their leadership and helps their team with current issues.
